Steven B. Lesser is a Shareholder and Chair of Becker’s national Construction Law and Litigation Practice based in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. For over thirty years, he has dedicated his practice exclusively to construction law and litigation, representing a variety of clients in large-scale, high-profile commercial, multifamily, and specialty projects such as museums, country club communities, health care facilities, and sports complexes. Mr. Lesser is Board Certified in Construction Law by The Florida Bar and is a Fellow of the American College of Construction Lawyers. He is Past Chair of the American Bar Association’s Forum on Construction Law, the largest construction lawyer group in the world, and currently serves as Chair of The Florida Bar’s Board of Legal Specialization and Education. Highly accomplished in his field, he has received a number of distinguished awards. Among these include a Band 1 ranking by the esteemed legal publication, Chambers USA, as well as the Cornerstone Award, the most prestigious honor presented by the Forum on Construction Law. He is the recipient of the Life Time Achievement Award from the Construction Law Committee of the Florida Bar Real Property and Trust Law Section. He serves on the Board of Visitors of CSU|LAW and is an honorary trustee of the Cleveland-Marshall Law Alumni Association.
