Maria Spangler leads The Sherwin-Williams Company’s enterprise strategy, which drives corporate social responsibility initiatives and programs, building alignment and synergies with shareholders, customers and employees. With a particular focus and passion around inclusion and talent attraction and development, she works strategically with a diverse set of internal and external stakeholders to build relationships and drive excellence. In addition, Maria directs the programs and investments of the Sherwin-Williams Foundation, supporting brand-aligned causes and organizations most important to the more than 62,000 committed and generous Sherwin-Williams employees across their global footprint.  A proud two-time Viking, Maria was honored in 2006 to have been the first in her family to earn a Dual Law and Public Administration Master’s Degree. She is grateful for the experience at Cleveland State, which proved to be critical in building a firm foundation for a career rooted in service to others and her adopted home of Northeast Ohio.  Maria’s board memberships include: the Cleveland Foundation, Cuyahoga County Public Library, University Circle Incorporated, Cleveland Development Advisors, and the Greater Cleveland Food Bank.
