Judge Donald C. Nugent

Donald C. Nugent served as a combat infantryman in the United States Marine Corps before attending Cleveland-Marshall. Upon graduation, he joined the Cuyahoga County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office where he successfully tried many high-profile criminal cases as a member of the Major Trial Division. He was elected judge in the Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court in 1984, was re-elected in 1990, and was elected to the 8th District Court of Appeals in 1992. Judge Nugent was appointed to the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio in 1995 by President William J. Clinton, where he continues to serve as a Senior Judge.
