Gertrude Bauer Mahon was a Cleveland attorney for nearly 50 years, serving 30 years as a member of the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s staff. As such, she represented the State of Ohio in the 1961 Mapp v. Ohio trial, a landmark Fourth Amendment search and seizure case that made its way to the Supreme Court of the United States. She was a member of Kappa Beta Phi, Steuben Society of America, Cuyahoga County Bar Association, and the National Association of Women Lawyers.
