Mary Ann Bagus overcame physical difficulties resulting from childhood polio to graduate cum laude from Cleveland-Marshall where she also served as editor of the Cleveland State Law Review. Specializing in probate law, Bagus practiced for almost five years until she died tragically in an auto accident while on vacation in California. Her legacy lives on in a scholarship fund to benefit disabled students who demonstrate both financial need and academic excellence at the University of Buffalo, where she obtained her master’s degree in modern languages, and in The Mary Ann Bagus Memorial Fund at CSU College of Law.
