Tony Asher

Anthony J. Asher is a first generation Lebanese American.  He graduated from St. Edward’s High School and attended The University of Dayton. Later he graduated from Cleveland State University’s College of Law and was admitted to the Ohio Bar in October 1963. Tony began his career working at a title agency while attending law school.  Shortly before graduation, with his father he launched Guardian Title and Guarantee Agency Inc., which grew to be one of the largest title agencies in Greater Cleveland.  Subsequently in 1972, he started Weston, Inc., an industrial real estate ownership firm that is now one of the largest privately held industrial property owners in an eight-state area. Tony has gifted the Weston Ideation Lab to Cleveland State University, co-founded the Asher Center of Innovation & Entrepreneurship at the Holy Spirit University in Kaslik, Lebanon, and endowed a chair in family medicine and global health at the University Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio.  He was approved as Honorary Consul of Lebanon for the Greater Cleveland area where an official Cleveland office was established. He was also knighted by the Catholic church in the order of St. Gregory in 2001.
