Judge Diane J. Karpinski was devoted to CSU and CSU|LAW. She taught English courses at CSU before graduating from CSU|LAW, becoming an attorney and eventually being elected to the Eighth District Court of Appeals for Cuyahoga County. Prior to being elected as a Judge, she was an Assistant Attorney General in the office of the Ohio Attorney General from 1982-1995, which included the administration of Ohio Attorney General Lee Fisher (1991-1995). Judge Karpinski then went on to teach legal writing at CSU|LAW. In honor of her Polish heritage and interest in Films, she arranged for Educators from Poland to come to CSU and offer courses in Polish film making and to teach the Polish language.
